PGT, TGT and PRT Teacher Jobs - Army Welfare Educational Society (AWES)
Army Welfare Education Society is managing 137 Army Public Schools all over India - Affiliation -CBSE Medium- English.
Eligibility: Minimum qualifications strictly as per CBSE. B.Ed is mandatory (B.EI.Ed. for PRTs.). Age - All India Except Delhi, below 40 years. Age for Delhi Schools: TGT/PRT below 29 years and PGT below 35 years. Relaxations permissible for teachers with experience as per rules of AWES.
Selection Process: Written Test + Interview + Teaching Skills
Written Test: 2nd week of December. Successful candidates will get an "AWES Score Card" valid for all Army Public Schools.

About AWES: After Independence, education in residential public schools was out of reach for most of the officers. 15th January 1980 COAS announced involvement of Army to promote education, by this time, 28 Regimental Schools and four High Schools come up. AWES was created thereby making a modest beginning to bring these Schools under this organisation within overall control of AG's Branch. The process of expanding wings commenced with a mandate that at lest 5 Army Public schools every year. Now grown to 137 Army Public Schools and 265 Shaurya Army Pre Schools spread across the country.
Steps in the Selection Process:
Step 1. Processing of Application Forms-from 15th Sep - 15th Oct.
Step 2. All India Written Test - 2nd Sunday of December.
Step 3. Interviews & Evaluation of teaching skills. To interview and select PGTs and TGTs (generally held in mid January).
Submit application forms in duplicate along with 1+1 passport size photographs to the school where you wish to appear in the written test along with a bank draft of Rs 100/- in favour of the concerned Army School.
The last date of submission of application is 15th Oct.
Admit Card for the written test should be collected from 20th Oct onwards. You will be required to produce the same before taking the written test.
